6.500 - 9.500 DKK

Join Faye Baldwin & Nicolai Boas from Saturday 13th - Saturday 20th October 2018, for their 'Escape to the Mangroves' retreat.

You will get the chance to immerse yourself into your personal yoga practice, and deepen your knowledge in creative workshops.

In between classes you get to enjoy and explore the idyllic surroundings, kick back by the salt water pool with a good read or even go snorkelling in one of the nearby reefs - the options are endless.

Your mornings will start with meditation shortly followed by a fiery energetic vinyasa class to help you charge up for the day. You'll later get to quench your thirst for technique driven hatha classes or deep gentle yin class

Both Nicolai and Faye explore Thailand on a regular basis and have completely fallen for the beautiful country, it's people, culture and amazing food.

As Thailand is most known for its crystal clear waters and white sandy beaches, it can be hard to find a spot for yourself. Yet this place fully encompasses the beauty of the country and the secluded nature of the location allows you to truly escape the hustle and the bustle that many have come to know as modern Thailand

Breakfast will be buffet style, with a table spread of seasonal tropical fruits, yoghurt, muesli, coconut, nuts & seeds. Various egg dishes will be available such as vegetarian filled omelettes.

Coffee will also be served for those who like a hit of caffeine and fresh fruit juices/king coconuts will be served when available.

Dinner will be served buffet style like breakfast, with a selection of different thai dishes each night. Each night expect a couple of choices of raw/light dishes such as raw summer rolls & thai salads, a few choices of local vegetable/tofu dishes with rice, and a sweet dessert to finish off the meal.

To have the opportunity to sample the local food and area, guests can enjoy lunch at their own leisure at the venue's Radiance Restaurant or at the fabulous seafood restaurants nearby to try out the local fishing villages produce. If you spend a few hours at a different part of the island there will be a wider choice of restaurants to pick from.

Our accommodation is a health resort getaway surrounded by natural mangrove forests in Salak Kok Bay, Koh Chang. Escape the hustle of your daily life and lose yourself in a sweet cocoon of lush greenery of the eastern side of the island. Nestled in between fishing communities, immerse yourself in a quieter pace of life with only bird songs and the sounds of the jungle to break the silence.

With free time in-between classes and workshops, free shuttles to southern Long Beach and north western White Sand Beach are provided on selected days to give you chance to explore some beaches on the island. Several relaxation options await guests at the venue; enjoy sunbathing on loungers next to the salt-water pool with jacuzzi, or if the yoga isn't enough, there is also an open-air gym on site with fitness equipment in a small hut surrounded by the gardens. Use of the resort’s kayaks and wifi are free for guests.

Also known as 'Elephant Island', this is Thailand's second largest island after Phuket with a population of around 10,000 people. Located in the far east of the Thai gulf near the border to Cambodia, it has a humid all year climate with monsoon seasons.

Despite some areas transforming rapidly for tourism, most of the island is still rugged and untouched. Tall jungle-clad peaks give Koh Chang its picturesque spirit, with long sandy beaches to the west and tropical mangrove forests to the East. This may not be the sandiest island, but the paradise is instead made up with dotted coves, thick jungle, wilderness and waterfalls.

Mongooses and macaques roam the jungle among an abundance of birds, including the majestic great hornbill, reptiles and other wildlife. Dolphins can sometimes be spotted off the southeast coast.

Moquitos will be pestering you in the early morning but especially the early evening.

By airplane: Several daily flights arrive at Trat Airport from Bangkok around 7000 BHT return. It is then a cheap short minute minibus/taxi to the port and a further 30 minutes by boat to Koh Chang.

By bus: If you want to save money and have time, it is a 5 hour public bus for around 550 BHT including the boat ticket.

By private car: Shared cars can be organised closer to the time through a private Facebook group.

The temperature averages around 28'c at this time of year. Midday can be warmer around 30'c and feel even higher due to humidity. It will be just after monsoon season so a few showers should be expected being a tropical place. Every room has air-conditioning.
