Join Faye (Wildest Yoga) from Friday 7th - Monday 10th August 2020, for a 3 night summer retreat taking place in the ancient forests of Ryd, Southern Sweden.
Weaving the depth of summer into the long hours of the day, spirits are lifted high and the potency of the sun recharges every fibre of our being. Dedicating our weekend the simple notion of being, we will have this long weekend cherish the long days out in nature, practicing and eating together.
We will unfold with a long dynamic morning flow practice, treating our body temple to movement and breath. During the day there will be time to take walks, paddle in the lake, sauna/sweatlodge if the weather isn't too hot or read in the peace of the woods.
This retreat will consist of strong Vinyasa flow, nourishing Yin Yoga & some surprise ceremonies/activities.
Each day will open in silence, with herbal tea from the main house kitchen. We will meet in the forest studio and dive into a 2 hours creative and dynamic vinyasa class with pranayama and meditation weaved in. In the invigorating physical practice, there will be lots of chances to explore challenging poses and to deepen the quality of your own practice.
To slow down the long day, in the evening we will meet again to dive into more rejuvenating + restorative practices such as Yin or ceremonial practice. We will also have the chance to break down inversions one afternoon in a workshop, answering all your questions from how to begin inversions or how to take the next step.
Hidden deep in the forests of Southern Sweden, our summer solstice accommodation is tucked away from the noise of the city and hum of other people. With skies so dark at night you can see the myriad webs of stars, and no sound to be heard but the wind through the pines; woven throughout the days practices are complete peace and rest.
There is a main cosy house with kitchen and dining room and a fire lit living space with some of the sleeping arrangements on the top floor, and dotted about the land are smaller cabins, mixtures of wooden tiny houses with shared and private sleeping arrangements. This is less of a luxury retreat and more of a sharing space, some of the rooms will not have bathrooms and will have to use the main house large shower room or brave the outdoor toilets!
From the kitchen there is access to a wooden terrace overlooking the forest. Grab a book and read in the sun or find a blanket to roll out and snooze on in the fresh air. In the evening we can light a fire and toast marshmallows under the night sky.
The nourishing studio has beautiful wooden floors and beams, with a view over the trees into the forest to add to your practice. Its the perfect shala to generate heat in your morning fiery flow, and to cosy up in when the sun sets for Yin or for a film night.
One of the best parts of the place is the surrounding nature, we will have an opportunity to take a few walks and venture into the wild for communal meditations and ceremony, deepening our practice and celebrating the long summer hours.
There is a lake 5 minute walk away with a private sauna we will fire up for a sweat lodge full of chanting and drums! And a pier we can lounge on and take a few dips from.
A mixture of of rooms and cabins, some with 2 single beds for friends some with 2 double beds. Again it is a mixture of cabins in the forest or in the top floor of the main house.
A mixture of single and double bed private rooms, some have toilets and some have to use the larger bathrooms in the main house. Linen is included.

Sophie’s passion for cooking started at a young age. Growing up was spent cooking simple meals at home with her family. She spends a lot of her spare time sourcing seasonal and fresh produce in local farmer's markets, creating vibrant plant based dishes for herself, family and friends.
Inspired by her travels Sophie’s core aim is to create vibrant dishes with the produce she can find, keeping it local and seasonal.
She is conscious of her food waste along the way, using ‘the whole vegetable’ to create meals, as well as turning old recipes or leftovers into something new and creative.
