Join Faye (Wildest Yoga) and Katia (Living Yoga) from Saturday 2nd - Saturday 9th December 2017, for a 7 day immersion into an oasis removed from the distractions of the world. Taking place in Agonda, South Goa, Wildest Living will be dedicating a full week to your wellbeing, helping you to relax and unravel the body and mind.
Faye and Katia first met in Agonda during their Yoga teacher training, and fell in love with the abundant beauty of this jungle-clad coastline. We will be retreating into a unique paradise hidden in the trees of the Agondan jungle to stay in simple but comfortable cabanas, removed from the luxuries of modern day life.
With morning jungle and sunset beach yoga, authentic vegetarian food and rustic cabanas, this retreat will help you to reaffirm your connection to nature and switch off from your busy life, rejuvenating mind, body and soul.
Faye and Katia teach playful vinyasa yoga as well as delicious and nourishing yin.
The Wildest Living yoga retreat will open each day with an (optional) early morning meditation. Followed by a creative and dynamic vinyasa class. This will give you the opportunity to explore new and challenging postures in our forest shala. To wind down the day we will practice rejuvenating yin or gentle flow to the background of ever-lasting sunsets on the beach or in the dusky light of the evening jungle.
As well as this we will also be finding new ways to explore pranayama (breath work) and meditation, experimenting with different style throughout the week.
The retreat will be a totally immersive yoga experience that will allow you to deepen your understanding of your practice, body and self in a truly unforgettable setting.
For the buffet style brunch and dinner, we will be offering a diverse fusion of Ayurvedic and local traditional vegetarian dishes. Everything will be healthy and as organic as possible with a large portion of ingredients from the venue's organic farm. Dishes will be clean and light, yet will satisfy a yogi's hunger post-class! To have the opportunity to sample the local food and area, guests are to enjoy lunch either at the venue or one of the many beach restaurants at their own leisure.
Sample brunch: Amaranth and coconut porridge, fruit plates, museli & savoury Indian breakfast dishes i.e. Dosa/Idli
Sample dinner: Chapatti, rice, dal, channa masala, fresh vegetable/tofu curries, salad, herbal tea.
Nestled in a tranquil valley tucked on the top of a quiet hillside, the ecological village is set on 12 acres of tropical forest surrounded by wilderness and fields on all sides. Off the beaten track, we will be surrounded by sounds of nature and a plethora of flora and fauna. Our accommodation consists of rustic, eco-friendly cabanas, with an option of simple and deluxe. They are set deep in the forest and are placed to ensure privacy by surrounding trees and plants. Faye, who teaches under the name Wildest Yoga, is currently based in Copenhagen teaching in a handful of studios. She energises students through rejuvenating and fiery flow classes. Half Singaporean, a large portion of her time each year is spent traveling around Asia , exploring new places on small budgets and diving in to the local cultures.
KATIA EL-FAKHRI // LIVING YOGA
Living Yoga was born out of a desire to create a sanctuary from urban life in which founder and teacher, Katia, could share and learn more about yoga with the residents of East London.
After travelling to India to complete her teacher training in Ashtanga and Vinyasa Flow, she was inspired by the beauty and wildness of the country, and the closeness between nature and humans. At Living Yoga they hope to provide a little retreat from city lives, full of plants and greenery, in which to practice yoga and share knowledge, skills and creativity.
Katia’s classes are playful and intuitive with a focus on listening to your body’s needs. Her flows are strong and fiery with lots of opportunity to play and experiment followed by time for deep relaxation
